a long, unfortunate while

Now forever hardened to winters cozy lull, I give myself up to it; hack it up every night. I spend the day a ghost, living with only comforts. Spoon after spoon, pill after pill, I take the medicine. No change comes, nothing tethers the comfortable uncomfortable chain. I am stuck living in safety (in comfort). Stuck a zombie, stuck sick, stuck stale.
